The Oar Editorial Committee is a volunteer-led team comprised of graduate students, historians, and literary scholars who share a commitment to historical research, thoughtful storytelling, and accessible public scholarship. Working collaboratively, the committee supports the curation of content, the editing of contributions, and the preparation of each volume of The Oar, helping to ensure that every volume is polished, engaging, and of the highest editorial quality.
Submissions are reviewed in the Fall by the committee and those accepted go through two rounds of revisions by individual members, while the overall design and layout is overseen by the lead editor.
